Despite the reality that online betting is now a multi-billion dollar industry, and endless thousands of brand-new wagerers around the globe sign on every day to wager at online gambling halls, there are still millions of newcomers to the environment of online betting who don’t as yet have a good understanding of much of the catchphrases used in web gambling, and betting on athletic event in general. ACTION: Any style of bet.

ALL-IN: In poker, all-in means a gambler has put all of their chips into the pot. A second pot is created for the gamblers with remaining money.

ALL-UP: To wager on several horses in the same event.

ANTE: A poker phrase for allocating a necessary sum of money into the pot prior to the start of each hand.

BRING-IN: A required bet in seven-card stud carried out by the gambler displaying the smallest value card.

BUST: You don’t win; As in 21, when a gambler’s cards are valued over twenty-one.

BUY-IN: The minimal value of cash required to enroll in a match or tournament.

CALL: As in poker, when a bet equals a previously carried out bet.

CHECK: In poker, to remain in the match without wagering. This is acceptable only if no other gamblers wager in that round.

CLOSING A BET: As in spread betting, meaning to place a wager on par with but opposite of the opening wager.

COLUMN BET: To wager on any of the three columns of a roulette table.

COME BET: In craps, similar to a pass-line bet, but carried out after the player has established his number.

COME-OUT ROLL: A crapshooters 1st toss to establish a number, or the 1st toss after a number is established.

COVERALL: A bingo term, meaning to cover all the numbers on a bingo sheet.

CRAPPING OUT: In craps, to roll a two, three or 12 is an automatic defeat on the come-out toss.

DAILY DOUBLE: To select the champions of the first two matches of the night.

DOWN BET: To wager that the outcome of an event will be lower than the smallest end of the quote on a spread bet, also known as a "sell".

DOZEN BET: In roulette, to gamble on one or more of three groups of twelve numbers, one-twelve, etc.

EACH WAY BET: A athletics wager, meaning to wager on a group or player to succeed or position in a game.

EVEN MONEY BET: A bet that pays out the same amount as gambled, ( 1-1 ).

EXACTA: Betting that 2 horses in an event will finish in the absolute same assignment as the bet – also known as a " Perfecta ".

FIVE-NUMBER LINE BET: In roulette, a wager placed on a grouping of 5 numbers, for instance 1-2-3-0, and 00.
